Hi All.
So the first seat sample is done, and comfort has increased. We have a few more tricks up our sleeve and we believe that we can make and extra seat sample, for next week, that's comfier.
We also made a render of the chair colors, they are gonna look sick when done. Unfortunately, we can't anodize the legs and core as the strength of "anodize'able" aluminium is not strong enough. So, we have to powder coat them, which also looks awesome. On these sample pics below the legs are coated blank but will be made matte. Really looking forward to seeing them in real life very soon. When we have the final samples and can take real pictures, we’ll launch the vote.
BLANK: BLUE, PINK, LIME (RED is missing, but coming soon) - MATTE: GREY, BLACK

Hi all…
Thank you all for the continued support.
You helped us crush all our stretch goals and unlocked:
Insulated cup holder
Groundsheet
New color (vote coming soon)
Pretty GD awesome, if you ask me. By the end of August, we’ll have the designs ready for the cupholder and groundsheet, and as soon as our new samples arrive with the sample colors, we’ll make a vote for it.
We have been contemplating new stretch goals but are not there yet.
We have been discussing the potential upgrade of the current small carabiner with something more “heavy-duty” or even a carabiner multitool. We are researching the market and looking for a good supplier and will keep you updated.
Update on the optimized seat
As we went through in 4th update, we are working on an optimized seat. We were actually very satisfied with the seat as it was, but after a round of feedback, we decided to test a wider seat. We did test making the seat fabric wider but it did not improve comfort. Because of the, three supports, it was status quo, we are now testing a “3-dimensional seat” know from lower seated 12" beach chairs vs. Campsters 17" beach chairs, it will add more depth to the seat as well as more support on the sides. We are really looking forward to showing next week and testing it out.
While our manufacturing partner is damned good a production, they are not skilled in photography :) They sent me this picture before they started to sew the insert for the cut-out, this on Friday. I guess it'll be done sometime next week.
Shipping
As mentioned in the contribution text, in the FAQ and in shipping address and cost will be calculated and charged in Backerkit at the moment we are at 10$ for a single Campster WW shipment and 7$ for each additional product. I expect that we can get the price further down especially on combined shipments.
Please remember to share our project with friends and family and get a kickback of 15% on all referrals.
Thanks again,
Jonas

Hi All
Again, speechless - the contributions came pouring in the last five days, and it's been overwhelming. Thank you.
You helped us smash the Stretch Goal 2 at 450.000$ - Woop Woop!
You guys hereby unlocked and guaranteed the development and production of the Ground Sheet. We’ll update with drawings and mock-ups in mid-august.
As you might have noticed, our campaign has been extended for another 20 days. We were given the opportunity to extend the campaign, to keep raising awareness and funds for the development of Campster and new addons. This extension is very valuable for our tiny outfit, as it gives us a bigger opportunity to keep raising awareness about Campster and its values. I will also give us the opportunity to showcase our final production samples later in August before we hit mass production.
Naturally, we also hope that we’ll get to unlock our 475.000$ stretch goal of putting a new color in production, a color chosen by the crowd.
Again thank you all for supporting us so far!!!
Happy Friday or Saturday - wherever you are.
Cheers

Hi All.
We’re overwhelmed with the amazing response to Campster so far. Supported by 3600 people and counting!
We are SO grateful, and we want you to know that you aren’t just supporting Campster, you are also getting a lifetime discount for all products that Sitpack sells, and will sell, in the future. We will keep innovating, and with our new manufacturing partner, will do so at a faster rate than we were ever able to before.
Now to address some of the feedback we’ve been getting:
Seating Comfort Improved
While most people who have tested with our initial samples agree that the design, maneuverability, and high seating-height make up for the missing “Lounging” comfort of the low seated chairs, the last thing we want is to make Campster in the thousands and then receive feedback that it's not comfy enough.
We believe that the fact that Campster doesn't seat you 12” off ground but 40% higher, adds a lot of value. Especially for anyone who may find it difficult sitting and/or rising from lower to the ground.
Additionally, Campster’s three-leg design allows for increased maneuverability and avoids you being “pinched” between the two front legs of the other portable chairs (this also allows for people of a bigger frame to use it). And a great feature is that you can actually sit up straight.
But we are taking the feedback to heart, and have been in contact with our manufacturer. We are now trying a few things to make the seat a bit deeper, and more "loungy" we’ll get the new samples shipped next week - and keep you in the loop. But adding more lounge will we expect to remove the "normal" sitting stance that is also really nice. We'll know soon.
Will it sink into the ground?
This is one of the most common comments/questions on social media. And the answer is a solid “no it won’t.” Well… that is, of course, the legs will go into sand or soft soil a little bit (as will any camping/hiking chair), but due to the high-seat height, you will still be more than comfortably above the ground. For an example of what this looks like, please check out this video:
I’m 190 cm/6’3” and 86 kg/190 lbs. (wow, the iPhone wide-angle really makes my long skinny legs seem even more long and skinny!). Anyway, sitting in soft soil/sand is not an issue at all, but for those that want to stay even higher out of the sand, we’re offering a groundsheet as a stretch goal (see below).
Stretch Goals - Yay! And Share with friends to Get PAID
We are now only days away from our end of the campaign - so please assist us in getting a final boost!! As an incentive we are happy to announce some Stretch Goals:
$400k PARTY PACK: Wanted to buy more but where hesitant? At $400k we’ll release the 6 Unit Party Pack - at just $59 each!? This is an insane price for this hardware.
If you already paid for the 2 pack or 4 pack and want to upgrade, we will make the change available in Backerkit - so you don’t have to do anything right now.
$425kINSULATED CUP HOLDER This will hook onto the loop in the front support and will be available as an add-on perk.
$450k GROUND SHEET This will be available as an add-on to prevent even the small amount of sinking into the soft sand/soil if you wish.
$470k NEW COLOR! Which one will it be?? - We’ll put it in for a vote :)
You can help us get to these by simply sharing your contribution or this URL link on social media. OR if you sign-up for kickbooster you can earn 15% of each contribution done through your unique Kickbooster link!
We’ve still got quite a way to go to get these goodies - so please help us by pushing the campaign! And THANK YOU again :)
Lastly - Shipping and Vat. concerns
A few have asked about why Shipping is not collected directly when making the pledge.
We will make a few options available in Backerkit, as well as we will enable you to do duty paid shipping so you will not have to worry about paying extra fees when it arrives in your country. Example: Denmark has 25% Vat. for import, but you can pay that directly through us and our shipping provider. Then you are certain that the goods will not be stopped at customs to pay any additional customs fees. This is mainly for EU and Asia backers, as the US has a very high minimum private import amount of 800$ before applying Vat. We are also looking into shipping from Denmark directly which would mitigate much Tax in EU - But shipping from Denmark is also more expensive than shipping from China, so we have to consider all that.
We'll keep you update, and find the best solution for all.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
All the best.

Hi Everybody.
In this update:
Why Campster
Production update + Addon’s / Colors
*Free Multi-Campster Carry bag
Hope you have to enjoy the weekend. I have, because a dream is starting to become a reality, and that dream is to get Sitpack Campster out there; and make your outdoor activities, events, camping trips, hikes, beach trips, spectator events, festival (next year) much more relaxed and convenient, with our light and ultra-compact Campster.
When you receive it we’re certain that you’ll really appreciate it’s minuscule folded footprint, compared to its size and strength when unfolded. And you will for sure appreciate the next level finish and feel.
So why the hell did we choose to make a three-legged chair? Well, every other company is making 4 legged chairs, so to us it was obvious, we need to do something DIFFERENT, and that was also what our research and test show.
Here are some of the issues we found testing other chairs:
Portable chairs with low height are hard to get up from, especially if you have ligament issues
Other portable chairs with normal seating height are always heavy and/or bulky
Most other portable chairs require assembling the base and manually attaching the seat
Portable chairs with 4 support rods confine leg maneuverability
Many had a short backrest, making leaning back comfortably difficult
Weight Weight is one of the primary factors at play when choosing a portable seat. So, to cut down on weight, we removed a leg. As we already have 2 legs, your legs will work as stabilizers, but will NOT be under strain to support you.
Comfort What we learned when testing chairs with 4 support rods was that often these restrict leg movement, and prompts your legs into 90 degrees, due to a V-shaped seat. Complete leg movement is totally possible with Campster as there are no restrictive poles, as well there is a high backrest, which covers your shoulder blades.
Seating height The additional benefit with the lower weight gave us an opportunity to play with the seating height, we could make the legs, and telescopic tubes longer - and woopty doo, we could make a chair that has regular seating height. Of Course, if we had 12” seating height like most other portable chairs, Campster would be so tiny.
Our full-chair height seating is an awesome feature that is truly amazing for micro portable seats.
Sit up straight and Lounge in a high seat, no problem - just look at my lazy brother right here ;) It’s also very convenient for grabbing a bypassing snack.
How about a bag to carry several Campsters at a time. A great question, that we have gotten multiple times, and the good news is that it’s not needed, cause it's already kinda included :)...
You can easily hook multiple Campster together with the free Carabiner hook and even carry multiple Campsters with one carry-strap there are large hooks on each strap.
So no need for an additional carry case, and no extra cost. YAY. Here I am, with 9 Campsters in each hand. Seating for 18 ppl. that's pretty sweet...
Production:
Here’s the latest from production, screenshot from my email.
In short, it states our final production samples will be done on the 11th of August when these are approved - mass production will commence. Any changes would be minuscule and will be changed/improved during production.
We’ll be testing the following colors - and will be adding these as a stretch goal.
Silver Chrome Gold Chrome Rose Gold Lime Green Classic Blue (Pantone Color of the Year) Chili Red
Thanks again everyone for your support
