Dear All

Hope you are all doing well.

We are currently waiting for the goods we shipped to the USA to arrive. First getting space on the vessel in December was a nightmare and now they are also delayed, unfortunately - should have arrived on the 26th of December.

We shipped out all EU orders during December together with all Canadian and UK orders.

We are getting the last of the EA orders quoted this week. Which is half of what is left, and the other half is US only.

Please assist the customer support with understanding and more of your already extended patience as this will help everyone in this project. We can’t do more than we are at moment to get everything finished.

Trust me, we really wanted this to go faster. We also really want to help you if you have issues - and we are. If you have received your Campster and are satisfied with it - when received, or after we have assisted - We would really love a review on our shop www.sitpack.com We did not plan on these delays, and absolutely no one from Sitpack has had the slightest bit of financial benefit from the campaign - on the contrary.

While everyone supporting this campaign have read both:

and check-marked this

I hope that you will support us for the last part of the journey. As we are fighting tooth and nail to deliver your reward.

Sorry for the inconvenience the investment in this campaign has caused in your life, we will do our best to make it up to you.

Thank you for your time,

Jonas

Dear all

The goods headed for Denmark arrived finally, late but safely.

All colors are now in stock in Denmark, and we are able to ship to:

EU, MEAS, and Canada - Wuhuu.

We have a customs issue in China, with 600 Rewards stuck in Customs - many have received tracking numbers for this delivery, but have not been able to follow it because the bulk shipment was held back. These will be updated next week. Most of these are going to UK and AU/NZ and US but only singles for US - double packs+ are on the way to the local warehouse as these where too expensive to ship from China.

When these goods are released we will finalize the rest of the orders to South EA and UK.

US orders are on the ship but delayed. They current est. The arrival date is Dec. 29th. So est. full delivery of all US orders is Jan. 20th.

We´ll try to update you with the status from Backerkit on Wednesday next week.

Here´s a short video from Luke at Tailgaiting challenge - Unfortunately he´s not reviewing it after having used it for a while, getting used to it, and letting Campster settle into its ultimate comfort position. The seat and construction feel´s tight in the beginning so that it will not get completely loose after using it many times. Comfort comes with use. Nonetheless, he likes the upgrades to the seats and the locking system. This video shows that it does work for big guys like Luke :) where you can see that his legs are at a 90-degree angle when seating, which is one of the main benefits for taller folks, and if you have trouble getting up from lower seats - and still it's just 2lbs.

If you have received you Campster we would love a review on our website www.sitpack.com - We would also really appreciate that you don´t give us one star if the plugs have fallen out and we haven gotten a chance to help you out. Please be considerate.  Thank you.

More upgrades could be made over time and we are taking all your feedback into consideration. This is/was a development project and we are happy that you have contributed, we will keep improving allong with your support and feedback.

Remember: should you pull out and break your plugs you can remove the plug completely and insert the tubes into the seat pocket. Most chairs being sent out now have a reinforced plug.  But still, don´t pull them unless you need to change the seat.

We got a lot of comments on the legs would sink into the soft ground, it doesn't - but it does sink into the snow. But still keeps you but well above snow 20 cm snow level. :)

Looks like it unfolds in 6 sec. and folds up in 10 sec. but I have had a bit of practice the past few years. :)

Merry Christmas.

Dear all,

Hope you are doing well.

The Blues and Black to fulfill the remaining EU orders are on the way along with the Canadian rewards that will be shipped out from Denmark arriving around dec. 3rd The same goes for the US shipments and combined orders with blue and black which are shipping from China next week so if the steamer doesn´t have to anchor and queue up too long at the harbor, all will be shipped in December. For the rest of the world, we are shipping the products to our fulfillment partner in China. We just need to finalize the shipping agreement without the cost going through the roof.

CUT OFF: 27/OCT.
ETD: 31/OCT.
ETA Hamburg: 25/Nov.
ETA Copenhagen: 03/Dec

When you get your product, please take a second to look at the user guide video. Remember, the lines have to be aligned – if they are not aligning, the tubes are not locked. If you can´t pull out the tubes, take off  1 or 2 screws if you need to before sitting the first couple of times – it’s a little effort, but after a few uses, the seat is stretched enough and will not create tension between the poles. If this is not enough, contact us and we will assist you. Give the plugs an extra push in before unfolding to make sure they are completely inserted. If they should break we´ll send you new ones. Just contact us via our email: [email protected].

If you are totally angry about the chair and are not willing to spend time on getting to know it, there is really nothing we can do – we are taking all feedback into account for new developments. But currently, this is what we have. Upgrades can be made, but this is where hardware meets some limitations – we can´t just send out a software patch

The unfolding will become as easy as in our videos. But if you still end up in a world of anger and toss the chair, and end up letting off steam on social media – please remember we actually do want to assist you, so that you can get a good experience with the chair - or a new one, just give us time. We don´t have the resources that are needed for the scale of production and issues, caused by the delay and cost associated – but we are here and working for you.!

The chairs do work, some just need some cuddling. We are not happy about them needing that at all, but we don´t have the capacity to recall all products for the percentage that have issues. What we can do is to assist if you want us to. It’s mainly the grey chairs that are difficult, but these have shown to be a great fit once you have used them for a little while. We are extremely vested in getting this to be a success for everyone. I really hope that you can try to see through the haze of issues and let us help you if you have issues with your Campster!

A few reviews:

Mark M.

First things first, this is not an armchair. Instead, it is a serious piece of technical outdoor gear. Now, if you are strong enough and crazy enough, by all means, carry an armchair with you on a hike, but unless you are willing to do that, then it is only rational to expect, and accept, the design compromises made which keep the chair as light as a liter of water, and tall enough to sit on, and get up from, as easily as most dining chairs while almost certainly still be the most comfortable seat you will find in the wild

14/10/2021

John M:
Very compact and light for a collapsible chair.
As Sitpak warned, it was stiff (very stiff) to expand the chair back supports at first (it took me a good 10-15 mins to extend them fully) but, as advised; they have eased off with use.

15/10/2021

Ron G: For a lightweight portable easy to set up a chair, this works fine, I purchased two. I am 68 and my wife is 72 years old. We have not fallen out of our chairs yet. It has a lot to do with expectations, If you want the chair to function like you're on your living room couch, then you will be disappointed. If you want a portable on-the-go chair then this one is very convenient. If you want to rock back and forth then you should get a rocking chair and probably stay home. Rocking chairs and couches are heavy to carry around. This chair is very convenient. We use them all the time while watching our grandkid's sports events.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And just a little reminder that might be forgotten amid the delays:

We don´t have resources like well-established companies, we have made 3 innovative and very different products compared to what else is out there – all products have been a bigger mouthful than expected. If we had massive amounts of cash everyone would have a WOW that is a well-run machine feeling – but when there aren’t piles of cash, nothing is easy.

Let's all stay positive towards the end and something positive will come of it.

Dear All.

In late September (update from 23 days ago) we shipped goods to Shenzhen, it took a week or so for the Campsters to our fulfillment center in Shenzhen – When these arrived, the national October holiday kicked in, which lasted to this Monday, so this week we’ll finalize most of the US orders, all orders to East Asia, Australia & New Zealand – (that doesn't, include grey) All Canadian orders will be bulk-shipped in late Oct. and fulfilled directly from a 3PL locally.

We are currently shipping out the grey received at the warehouse to EU contributors but are still waiting for the blues to be shipped to the EU and US so that we can fulfill single, and mixed blue orders. We should get the last of the good on trains and ships within 10 days so we can have all fulfilled by the end of November.

We are at a point where all products are produced and paid for, and only shipping is stalling. Shipping prices, coupled with the operational cost associated with the delays are making our financial room for maneuver ever slimmer. From a financial standpoint, we really need to get going and sell Campsters to keep the boat floating throughout the year and not sink after shipping the last of the rewards – it would be such a massive bummer for us, to end the campaign fulfillment with a closed company.

This has led us to the following important decision: from the beginning of Nov., we will start selling residual inventory (that does not match rewards, backers come first). If you disagree with this discussion because you are still missing your reward, I hope you will send us your feedback to [email protected]

We really hope that you can understand this decision, which will enable us to pay our bills and keep the company going. We also need all the help from you that we can get – or at least, not get resistance. Resistance and negativity just absorb out limited time and financial resources taking them away from fulfillment and providing a good customer service experience.

We have a small, but very important ask…

We have already gotten some very nice reviews in the comments section, thank you for that! It would mean the world to us if those of you that have received a Campster would post a review HERE

Again, thank you for your time and support.

Dear All,

And thank you Jacob for the inspiration for the title. :)

The title is saying how many, including ourselves, feel right now!

Shipping is a mess - and if you need to hear it from someone else, then listen to Søren Skou, CEO of Maersk… HERE And I didn’t pull the Dane card and asked him to say all these things to Richard. https://edition.cnn.com/2021/08/23/business/global-supply-chains-christmas-shipping/index.html

————

Grey’s are running on their +2-month delay, stuck in Russia - But now, now they are in Hamburg!! WOOP-TI-DO...

Our logistics partner in the US is not able to provide reasonable prices for Canadian shipments anymore - that was the case earlier this year. So now we´re looking at other solutions. Our Chinese partner can handle CA orders at $18 for one Campster - we just can’t cope with a double-up on the shipping price - so we need to get them on a boat or plane and have a local distributor handle it. If you know a local 3PL that can help distribute it would be great. We'll be back next week with info on the CA shipments.

We are however able to ship all GB, AU, NZ, EA, and US single and double packs from Shenzhen, above the paid budget but not too much.

Updating on this next week.

Just following our conventional way of shipping with these new 2021 prices it would cost us around 40.000 USD on top of what you have already paid. We are not able to cover that kind of extra cash, so we are trying different options as saving 2-7$ pr. kilo gram means a great deal on thousands of packages.

Another thing: Some of you might have read my update on Kickstarter yesterday. What I hope every one feel that we work in the spirit of crowdfunding, we’re going all out, to get everyone what they have contributed for albeit taking extra time and absorbing massive cost increases. We have experienced a mash-up of production issues and other horrible drawbacks, sucking up any and all profits from each campaign… Therefore, some things are taking a bit longer…

In general, we are doing everything possible from our current position, with limited human resources and finances. We hope that this shines through and we are currently all hands-on-deck (engineers and all) to hopefully provide a better customer service experience and reduce our response time on emails and other inquiries.

Seeing that some 30 ppl. of 2300 have noted issues with the plug and other issues like experiencing that lifting both feet from the ground is both difficult and a bad idea on the tripod chair :) … If you are struggling in anyway, please reach out to us and we will assist you the best we can. Just remember NEVER use force when unfolding the Campster.

Best, Jonas
